Wigtown Festival Company is seeking an individual with an interest in arts administration and marketing to support the promotion and delivery of Wigtown Book Festival 2022.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Digital Communications Officer to successfully market the Festival to new and existing audiences, and support the Volunteer Co-ordinator to ensure effective planning and communication in advance of the event.
This will include: distribution of marketing materials; creating event reminder emails; producing and circulating audience surveys; preparing event holding slides; checking and sending volunteer rotas.
The post is temporary, for a period of 30 days from 29 August – 3 October, to include the 10 days of Wigtown Book Festival (23 September-2 October). It may also include some weekend working with mid-week days off in lieu. The successful candidate will work closely day to day with the Digital Communications Officer and be responsible to the Operational Director (maternity cover). The place of work is Wigtown Festival Company Offices, 11 North Main Street, Wigtown, DG8 9HN.
