We are Guide Dogs and we’re here to help people with sight loss live the life they choose. Our ambition is a future where every person with sight loss has the confidence and support they need to live their lives to the full.

We don’t just provide life-changing guide dogs, we also provide advice, skills, emotional and practical support for people and families living with sight loss to help them live actively, independently and well.

We are looking for volunteers to look after our puppies in the early stages of their development. You’ll provide key early socialization which will equip them with the skills they need to go and and become a future life changer!

For this role you must have-
* Time – the puppy will stay with you for between 12-14 months and cannot be left alone for more than 3 hours at a time
* Good communication skills and interpersonal skills
* A suitable home to bring up a puppy, ideally with very few stairs to the front door
* Access to a suitable area where the puppy could go to the toilet during the day, including first thing in the morning and last thing at night
* No children under the age of 3
