Yes. We have an induction programme for volunteers, including orientation, fire safety and customer service. We also provide a "buddy" volunteer who would always be on duty with you for the first few months. Further training can be arranged if you are interested e.g. first aid, box office system and duty manager role.
Ability to greet people and make them feel welcome. Ideally you would do two sessions per month (more if you prefer), of roughly 4 hours each, but this is flexible. Most of the shows are in the evening, but there are some day time shows, especially at weekends.
The Front of House team’s role is to welcome patrons to the theatre and ensure everything runs smoothly in the auditorium and public areas.
Duties include checking tickets, directing patrons to seats, selling ice cream at the interval, assisting with fire safety procedures and generally providing a good visitor experience for audience members.
