Summary of role
If you can spare one day per week or fortnight then you could drive The Food Train van around the area collecting shopping lists or making grocery deliveries to our customers, providing vital social contact for isolated people.
You would have another volunteer helper with you to help deliver the groceries and manage the payments. Shopping orders are collected on one day and taken to the shops, where the orders are prepared ready to be delivered the next day.
Knowledge of the local area helpful but not essential, street maps and full vehicle insurance provided.
Time requirement
Seven hours per Day. Minimum Commitment: 1 Day

Over 25s and under 70. Vehicle insurance restrictions. Two week trial period with an experienced volunteer, then a further two weeks supervised. On-going support.
