ACT is a local organisation that is responding to the climate emergency by enabling a fair and just transition to a resilient and sustainable future. The Community Transport Project – of which the Cycle Hub is a part – supports these aims by providing e-bikes (including cargo, trike and adaptive cycles) for hire at very affordable rates as well as promoting cycling and other forms of sustainable travel through a number of community activities. Due to the successful development of the Cycle Hub, a Project Worker is required to co-ordinate all bike activity and run the Cycle Hub. We are looking for someone who enjoys cycling, has a
commitment to lessening their reliance on fossil fuels, and who can provide a role model to people in the local community.
Please note that although we are ideally looking for someone with all the skills listed in the Job Description it is still worth applying if you are not sure that you meet 100% of the criteria. Relevant experience can be drawn from volunteering or your personal life as well as formal employment. More importantly than any specifics we are looking for someone with a broad range of skills, who is a good fit for our organisation and its values and most importantly who is excited about the role and keen to make it their own.
