A dedicated workshop to inform how the third sector will be involved in supporting delivery of the Year One actions of the General Medical Services Delivery Plan.
The delivery plan has been co produced with GP practices and wider system partners from consolidated engagement across four dedicated streams including the above and also public and leadership ensuring that the priorities reflect what people across Dumfries and Galloway raised about access, interfaces, digital reliability, workforce fragility, and the need for more joined up support.
This next stage is about moving from planning into delivery, and ensuring the third sector’s contribution is embedded from the outset in a way that is practical, coordinated and meaningful.
The workshop will give us the chance to work collectively on where third sector expertise is most needed across the Year 1 workstreams, including access and communication, data and digital foundations, MDT coordination, proactive outreach, and support for people who rely most heavily on community based services.
With the review now transitioning into implementation, this is a key opportunity to define how we work together, strengthen interfaces between sectors, and make sure the actions are deliverable, equitable and aligned with the realities facing communities across the region. Your insight and operational experience will be essential in the next steps in turning the delivery plan into tangible improvements.
