For the first Peer Connects event of our 2024/25 programme we’re focusing on the power of peer support for people who are facing challenging times with their mental health.
Interested in planning, developing and delivering peer-led mental health support? Want to connect, share practice and learn new approaches?
We invite you to join us as together we explore the unique role that peer support plays in meeting people where they are – whether in crisis, feeling stuck or hopeless, or feeling that they need to do something to prevent crisis.
We’ll be asking ‘Just what is it about peer-led support that makes a difference for people?’ as we hear different examples of peer support in action from Hope Point Dundee (Penumbra), Man on Inverclyde, Neil’s Hugs Foundation and Living Warriors Project.

I am blown away coming to these events and feeling empowered by it. It has a ripple effect.- Participant at a Peer Connects event

There will also be the chance to hear about a new co-designed training resource which is being developed as part of the Creating Hope with Peer Support project . This resource will provide peer supporters and peer group facilitators with the confidence and tools to navigate relationships with someone experiencing emotional distress or suicidal crisis.
Join us* in Dundee (lunch provided) as we work together to bring peer support to more people and places. The Future is Peer!
*This event is for people living or working in Scotland in line with our funding commitments. Learning from events will be shared in our newsletter and on the Peer Recovery Hub
