Third Sector Dumfries and Galloway

Come along to discuss and advise Third Sector Dumfries and Galloway on the sector priorities for the coming years from your perspective.

These will feed into our focus for 26/27 and inform our new Chief Executive Officer in the summer.

Representatives from Scottish Parliament will also be coming along, to hear your priorities and to inform papers that will be submitted to the new Committees after the election. This is part of a nation-wide initiative by the Scottish Parliament to hear directly from the regions.

Agenda:

  • 09:45am – Gather, tea and coffee
  • 10:00 – Introductions and set-up
  • 10:10 – Workshop 1
  • 10:40 – Break
  • 10:50 – Workshop 2
  • 11:20 – Re-gather
  • 11:30 – Reflections by Scottish Parliament staff on what they’ve heard and further discussion.
  • 12: Light lunch and networking
  • 13:00: End

Workshop 1:

Do the three priorities given to Third Sector Dumfries and Galloway last year still feel relevant and important? Are there others that should be added?

  • Strategic representation of the sector regionally and nationally
  • Influence in regional and national policy
  • Moving the system towards Fair Funding

Workshop 2:

What are the priorities for your organisation in the next 12 months and how can Third Sector Dumfries and Galloway help you achieve these priorities?
