About the Job
We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people and wants to help local residents build confidence, learn new skills and get involved in their community.
You will work mainly with six community anchor organisations from
North West Dumfries.

What You Will Do
You will work in different community facilities to:
• Encourage more people to take part in learning and personal development
• Help remove barriers that stop people getting involved
• Support people to build confidence and basic skills
• Connect residents with the DGWorks employability pathway
You will also help to plan, organise and sometimes deliver:
• Community‑led training and personal development activities
• A mix of accredited and non‑accredited courses, online learning and workshops
• Pathways into volunteering, work experience and further training
• Early engagement activities that help people feel comfortable and confident
• Support with digital skills and basic learning needs
• Partnership work that strengthens local community organisations
You will collect data about the training delivered and report this to your line manager.
A Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership will be required.
