Third Sector Dumfries and Galloway (TSDG) have confirmed details of a planned leadership transition, as the organisation moves forward with confidence into an exciting new phase of strategic development.
CEO Alan Webb and Depute CEO Isabel McKnight have both stepped down from their current roles but will remain closely involved with TSDG on a freelance basis to ensure continuity for the organisation’s partners and the wider sector.
Alan will continue until the end of November, focusing on key projects, while Isabel will also continue until mid-November, maintaining momentum on important partnership work.
Interim CEO Helen Keron is already in place and will lead the organisation over the next six months, laying the groundwork for the appointment of a permanent CEO ahead of a new organisational strategy – a moment of real opportunity for TSDG and its partners across the region.
Helen said: “For nearly three years, Alan has led TSDG through a period of great change and growth, based on his clear vision as to how the sector can work better together for the greater good of the region. Under his leadership, the thematic elements of our sector support have gone from strength to strength, as regional partners have understood the amazing value that the third sector adds to the region.”
On Isabel’s continued involvement, Helen added: “Isabel brought huge experience of leadership and the public sector with her, and has been able to make real changes in the way we work with partners thanks to her deep understanding of their context and her passion for the work of the third sector.”
TSDG’s Board and staff team are fully united behind this transition plan, which has been designed to safeguard continuity for partners, protect the organisation’s presence on key external projects, and set the stage for a bold, ambitious future.
