There will be handover support available from our outgoing treasurer, and the post holder will be given induction support from the existing Chairs and Committee Members.
Experience of managing finances / book-keeping would be helpful. Access to a Laptop / Computer Understanding of Microsoft Office programmes - especially Microsoft Excel. Good Communicator. Ability to work independently.

Dumfries and Galloway Outdoor and Woodland Learning (DGOWL) group are part of a national network of government supported groups, which promote and providing opportunities for outdoor learning.

We are open to all and work with a wider range of community, public and third sector partners.
We are currently taking forward some exciting work with both Dumfries and Galloway Council, and NHS Dumfries and Galloway, and are looking to recruit a volunteer treasurer to support this and the wider work of our network.

As a member of the DGOWL Committee, you will work with other members of the Committee to oversee the financial aspects of the group’s work, these joint activities include –
– funding applications, fundraising
– monitoring spend
– budgeting
– feedback to funders

Specifically you will be responsible for:
– general oversight of finances
– banking and record keeping
– financial reporting
