Volunteers should have good people skills; be patient, empathetic and understanding of the needs of our customers; reliable and enthusiastic; have the ability to run a session and support others; and can work well as a part of a team. 3 developments in Dumfries, 1 in Annan, 1 in Castle Douglas, 1 in Wigtown, 1 in Stranraer

You’ll be based in one of our later living developments throughout the region.

Whether it’s running an activities session or pushing wheelchairs on a day trip, our all-rounder volunteers need to be willing to get stuck in.

From helping to host a coffee morning to something a little more energetic, you’ll be playing a key role in creating better communities and helping to enrich the lives of our later living customers.

Activities can vary from boules and skittles, dancing or singing, or coming up with your own to get people moving. All the while, you’ll be helping our customers to feel welcome and ensuring that everyone can take part.

Due to the diversity of the role, we can promise you that no two days volunteering with us will be alike. You’ll be assisting across all areas of our Later Living service and you’ll provide a friendly and familiar face for our customers. All we ask is that you bring a positive mindset, plenty of enthusiasm and never turn down the chance to have a chat!

Our all-rounder volunteer role offers you the opportunity to give something back to the community and to be part of a fantastic group of people providing support, skills, knowledge, friendship and being part of something special.

This is a fun and rewarding role which will enable you to connect with our customers and make a real, lasting difference to their lives.
