We are looking for someone who is a good communicator and happy to chat to new people.

Will it suit me?
You will be working as part of a team to ensure the smooth running of the group. We need reliable and friendly volunteers. If you are a good organiser and get a buzz from wanting to help others, then this role is perfect for you. You don’t need to have a macular condition nor sight loss; empathy and an understanding of its impact will help you to provide the best support.
Key tasks:
• Meet and greet – welcoming members and guests, sharing information, wrapping things up at the end.
• Group programme – work with the group to organise guest speakers and social activities.
• Meeting venue – acting as a local contact, reporting issues direct or to the regional manager.
• Group promotion – supporting the regional manager to raise awareness and speak to people about the group.
• Key contact – sharing updates with your regional manager and keeping in touch with members.
• If required, become a signatory on the group bank account.

Time commitment
The group meets monthly. Four to five hours is all we need each month, with flexibility if things change for you.
