DG Health and Social Care Partnership is currently developing a new workforce plan and at present there is very little information about our local third and independent sector workforce. At national level, Scottish Care is seeking similar information to input to the Scottish Government.
Input is welcome from all providers that operate or work in care homes, care at home and housing support. It is asked that you complete this survey giving as much detail as possible in order that they can evidence the true picture of recruitment and retention for independent and third sector care providers at all levels.
We are acutely aware that a great deal of information is already sent by care and support providers to DGHSCP and the regulatory bodies around staffing levels and the pressures that providers are experiencing to report these details. We feel that it is of utmost importance that we gather specific information that directly relates to:
- The number of applications independent and third sector care providers are receiving
- How many of those applications translate into staff who are retained within your organisations
The survey is open from today until Monday, 9 August and will take approximately 10 to 15 minutes to complete. Your time responding to the survey will be hugely appreciated.
