Crocketford Community Initiative

The organisation’s purposes are to promote the benefits of Crocketford and its environs, without distinction of sex, political, religious or other opinions, by associating the local statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance the education and to provide facilities, or to assist in the provision of facilities, in the interests of social welfare for recreation and other leisure time occupation so that their conditions of life can be improved.

To manage community land and associated assets for the benefit of the Community and the public in general consistent with furthering the achievement of sustainable development.

Crocketford Community Initiative (CCI) is responsible, on behalf of the village, for the insurance and maintenance of the King George V park.  The park is well used by locals and visitors and is a good resource for the village.  The park is regularly maintained by Crocketford Community Initiative.   There is a good range of equipment for children including climbing frames,  a zip wire,  slide, swings etc.  There is also a football pitch.
