We have been part of the TSDG for around 4 years now and we have had great support and success and especially prior and after our donation centre opened in 2022.
The staff at both Dumfries locations have reported that they have had good success and support from volunteers that have come via TSDG, whether they had stayed on or were just passing through on their journey through life.
Having a partnership with a local volunteering group is very important to our organisation as local community engagement is key to the success of our recruitment and the ongoing relationship built up from then on. We have 3 x sites within the Dumfries and Galloway area with our third site being in Stranraer, so bridging those gaps is important especially to our isolated sites.
Although I cover a wide area and momentarily forget about our partnerships, TSDG will remind me that they are there to support me/us and keep that engagement going. It is also important for a candidate to know that they have that support and guidance from TSDG and us.
