User and Carer Involvement are delighted to have received funding from the National Lottery Community Fund’s Cost of Living programme.
This funding, alongside ongoing funding from the Robertson Trust, will enable them to extend their Hen’s Dens programme across Dumfries and Galloway.
The Hen’s Dens are a safe space for women with Learning Disabilities, Learning Difficulties and/or autism to create healthy relationships and develop life skills.
Women in the groups benefit from:
– increased in confidence
– reduced social isolation
– improved leadership skills
– increased life skills
– improved resilience
Groups will be running in Dumfries, Annan, Castle Douglas, Stranraer and Newtown Stewart.
