As part of Scotland’s Population Health Framework, the Scottish Government is developing a national social prescribing framework to help make sure more people can benefit from good quality social prescribing wherever they live and whatever their circumstances.
Third Sector Dumfries and Galloway (TSDG), is one of five selected areas in Scotland, asked to engage with local community organisations and community link worker services in their areas on three themes: the person, the workforce and the system. Events are further supported by Dumfries and Galloway Health and Social Care Partnership.
The outputs of this engagement will be combined with wider feedback from people and organisations across Scotland as part of an open online conversation.
The Scottish Government will use the results of this engagement to shape the forthcoming national social prescribing framework, ensuring future services and support are shaped by the people who deliver them.
TSDG are hosting four events across Dumfries and Galloway to facilitate discussion and gather views from across our part of Scotland. Our aim is to ensure our community context is best represented and can be reflected in the final version of the framework. Participants will receive an update on how their views have fed into policy development and the health and social care partnership will use these insights to inform local practice.
